Did you know... 33% of Marin 11th graders reported binge drinking in the
past month? The California average is 23%.
We are Be the Influence, a youth led project looking to make a difference in Marin County. We have higher rates of binge drinking than the state and national averages, and, even worse - Tam District has the highest in Marin! We're looking to inform students on how to stay safe and healthy throughout some of the most fun years of their lives. Our goal is to reduce the number of students in the Tamalpais Union High School District who are currently binge drinking, or at risk of binge drinking, by 30% by 2012.
The people who make up BTI make this more than just another campaign to reduce high risk drinking. From intelligence to creativity to quirkiness, our group has it all. We're not just another campaign, we're Be the Influence.
